ORGANIZATION INFORMATION

SCACM is a not-for-profit organization, directed by volunteers from all levels of Clinical Microbiology.

The Board of Directors is comprised of both elected and appointed positions, as follows:

Elected Positions (elected each fall):
- Officers (President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Secretary)
- State Directors
- Directors At-large

Appointed Positions:
- Committee Chairpersons
- Interest Group Coordinators
- State Director Coordinator

State Directors coordinate continuing education activities (fall meetings, workshops, seminars) within the individual geographic regions.

Directors-at-Large are responsible for Spring program planning.

Various committees exist within SCACM to facilitate the vast amount of planning needed to successfully run such an organization.

Opportunities always exist for individuals interested in becoming involved in the planning of meetings, finances, exhibits, publications, etc. Become part of this active group - Fill out our Willingness to Serve Form

SCACM's unique use of Interest Groups also allows members to assemble with others in their subspecialty areas for information exchange.

SCACM has thrived and will continue to do so through the contributions of many.
