The National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) in Frederick , Maryland , has 2  Microbiologist/Bacteriologist positions available . Microbiology Positions Oct 2007

The NBACC is a laboratory facility built for the Department of Homeland Security . 

The purpose of these positions at the NBACC is to enhance bacteriological capabilities and conduct bioforensic casework for the National Bioforensic Analysis Center (NBFAC) and support the research mission of the Biothreat Characterization Center (BTCC).

Excellent technical skills, broad microbiology knowledge, expertise in clinical and/or diagnostic microbiology, as well as experience with molecular microbiology techniques highly desirable.

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN

CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee , Department of Health Sciences invites applications for a full time, twelve month, clinical assistant professor in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program.  Primary responsibilities include teaching didactic and laboratory aspects of clinical & diagnostic medicine to students preparing for careers in the clinical laboratory, industry, government, public health or advanced graduate study. 

Qualifications include a graduate degree in clinical laboratory science or field relevant to the position, national professional certification (CLS/MT by ASCP/NCA or equivalent), minimum of two years current work experience in the clinical laboratory sciences field; teaching and broad laboratory experience is preferred.

Review of applicants will begin on November 5, 2007 and continue until filled.

Teaching responsibilities will start January 2, 2008.
